Boarding Agreement

Payment

You acknowledge and agree to the following:

• You are the sole owner of the pet, free and clear of all liens and encumbrances.
• Any additional daycare purchased during your pet’s stay will be added to your account for payment upon pickup.
• If your pet is picked up after 2:00 PM, you will be charged for a full day of boarding.
• Additional services (e.g., house food, medication, photos) will be charged to your account for payment upon pickup.
• Any medical services required during the stay will be charged to your account. Service rates are subject to change.
• Payment is due in full at the time of pickup. Pets will not be permitted back into the facility if there is an outstanding balance. Unpaid charges may be sent to collections.

Expectations of Treatment

Dog Boarding

• Dogs receive 3–4 potty/exercise breaks per day.
• Dogs will be commingled with dogs from other households.
• Outdoor time will total at least 2 hours per day, weather permitting.
• Adding daycare provides an additional 3–5 hours of outdoor time.

Cat Boarding

• Cats receive 10–15 minutes of TLC daily (as tolerated).
• No extended playtime on holidays or select Sundays.
• Cats may free roam the condo room one family at a time. If a cat is not comfortable roaming, staff will provide toys in their kennel.

Pet Belongings & Food

• Machine-washable beds are allowed. Torn or non-washable beds will be turned away. Blankets are accepted.
• House bedding is available upon request. Staff is not responsible for damaged or lost personal items.
• You are strongly encouraged to bring your pet’s own food. Dry food must be in a hard-sided container labeled with your pet’s name.
• House food is available at a set rate. Pill pockets, treats (except rawhides), and supplements are accepted.
• You agree to and acknowledge the belongings and food policy.

Assumption of Risks / Dog Safety

• You acknowledge that pets may over-exert themselves or become reactive in group settings.
• All dogs are given three chances to succeed in group settings. Misconduct includes behaviors like excessive humping or being snappy.

Canine Misconduct Policy

1. First Warning: You will receive a written warning and be required to sign an acknowledgment.
2. Second Warning: Another written warning is issued. Training is recommended before returning.
3. Third Warning: The pet will be permanently dismissed from the facility.

Note: This policy applies only when the dog is not aggressive and no serious injuries have occurred.

Financial Responsibility

• You accept all financial responsibility for your pet’s care, including illness or injury due to accidents, ingestion, or behavioral issues.
• You understand the risk of exposure to contagious diseases despite all required vaccinations. Examples: kennel cough, conjunctivitis, papillomavirus.
• In the case of illness or injury, we will attempt to contact you. If unreachable, we will use discretion to provide veterinary care. You agree to pay these charges upon pickup.
• In emergencies or disasters, we will attempt to contact you. While we will make every effort to ensure your pet’s safety, evacuation may not always be possible.

Health Requirements

• Your pet must not have been exposed to rabies or distemper in the 30 days prior to boarding.
• Prescription medications must be provided in original containers. Supplements or non-prescription items will be treated as medications.
• You confirm all medical history has been disclosed and understand your pet’s age may affect their stay.
• Pets over 8 months of age must be spayed or neutered. Pets under 8 months may be removed from group if they exhibit dominant behavior.
• Dogs must be current on: Rabies, Influenza, Bordetella, and Distemper.
• Cats must be current on: Rabies and FVRPC.
• Unvaccinated pets will be turned away.

Pick-Up & Drop-Off

• Drop-off:
  • Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Saturday: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
  • Sunday: No drop-offs
• Pick-up:
  • Sunday: 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Hours may vary due to holidays.

• Pickups after 2:00 PM will incur a full-day boarding charge.
• Drop-off or pick-up outside of listed hours is not permitted.
• Payment is due at the time of pickup.

Legalities

• In the rare event your pet passes away while in our care, we will care for the remains and await your instructions. You are responsible for all medical costs.
• Kennel liability is limited to the lesser of $200 or the current value of a pet of the same species.
• You waive any legal claims related to:
  • Injuries or property damage from dog interactions
  • Injury, illness, or disease during boarding or daycare
• Photos and videos of your pet may be taken and used for promotional purposes.
• This contract is binding upon you and your legal representatives.
• Any disputes will be resolved via arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The prevailing party may recover legal fees.
