Dr. Rikki Vellman is a Colorado native.
Dr. Vellman completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at UCCS. After working in a microbiology lab, she was accepted to the dual MBA/DVM program at CSU. She earned her Master of Business Administration in 2020 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2023 from CSU. Shortly after, joined the Boyd Lake Veterinary Center team.
Dr. Vellman loves that veterinary medicine gives her the opportunity to create long-lasting relationships built on trust and shared decision-making. She is dedicated to fostering the human-animal bond by providing care to help you and your animals live the happiest, healthiest life possible. She has a special interest in preventative care, dermatology, and geriatric care.
Outside of the clinic, you can find Rikki spending time with her husband Jim, 2-year-old Liam, 5-month-old Eliott, 2 cats and 2 dogs. She enjoys the beautiful Colorado outdoors, doing yoga, and writing.
