
Dr. Appling was born and raised in rural New Mexico.
Rhonda attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Animal Science. She earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 2014.
After graduation, Dr. Appling returned to New Mexico and practiced veterinary medicine at a private practice in Santa Fe until June 2019, when she decided that Colorado was where she wanted to call home. Dr. Appling worked at a private practice in Thornton prior to joining Boyd Lake Veterinary Center.
Rhonda shares her home with her two Maine Coons named Elvis and Sebastian (aka Bash), a tuxedo cat named Figaro (aka Fig), and a Pitbull mix named Harry. Rhonda's hobbies include weight lifting, hiking, playing the piano, watching college basketball, planting flowers, and spending time with her friends and family.
